Сall for applications for a full-degree Master’s Program at the Beijing Institute of Technology (People’s Republic of China) for TSU students of the seventh and the eighth semester of Bachelor level studies and the first and the second semester of Master level studies Academic Year 2021-22

!!!The implementation of physical mobility will depend on the epidemiological situation in Georgia and the People’s Republic of China

Applicants from the following academic fields can apply: Law, Computer Sciences, Chemistry, SDSU-Georgia Campus students.

Mobility duration: 2 years

Scholarship includes:

• Tuition waiver
• Health insurance
• Monthly stipend in an amount of 3000 Chinese Yuans

The applicants for the given call should meet one of the below listed prerequisites:

1.   Bachelor’s diploma to be obtained no later than Spring Semester of the Academic Year 2020-21. By January 2021, an applicant should have accumulated at least 205 credits

2.   Own one of the below listed foreign language proficiency certificates:  

English language proficiency TOEFL (with a minimum score of 80 points), IELTS (with a minimum score of 5.5 points) certificate taken no earlier than 2 calendar years before the application deadline;

OR

TSU institutional language test result (testing sessions valid for the given call include: the test taken on October 1-2, 2019, or October 5th, 2020 with a minimum score of 71 points)

NOTE: Priority will be given to the students with international language certificates!!!

3.   2.5 GPA or higher

Selection process:

1. Eligibility check (Ivane Javakhishvili Tbilisi State University)
2. Interview with the selection committee (Ivane Javakhishvili Tbilisi State University)
3. Nomination for mobility (Ivane Javakhishvili Tbilisi State University)/scholarship award (the host University)

Required documents:

1. A copy of a passport (in case you do not have one, please upload a copy of your ID card)
2. CV in Europass format (in English)
3. Certificate of enrollment at TSU
4. A certificate of foreign language competence (see above the Prerequisites section)
5. A scanned copy of the Bachelor’s Diploma (only for students of the Master level studies)
6. A scanned copy of the Bachelor’s Diploma Supplement in English; the document should indicate the GPA (only for students of the Master level studies)
7. A letter of recommendation (recommendation should be submitted electronically by filling in the questionnaire placed in the electronic registration system, by a recommender indicated in the application form by an applicant, which is sent automatically to the indicated e-mail address)
8. A motivation letter (in English) with the following technical specifications:  length – no more than 1 page; font – Times New Roman, font size – 12, line spacing – 1.0, fields – 2cm.

Interested eligible applicants should register at mobility.tsu.ge, upload full application package (in PDF format) no later than 1 pm on the 18th of January, 2021

• Date and time of the interview will be emailed individually to all applicants; therefore, please check regularly the email inbox of the address indicated in your profile at mobility.tsu.ge 
• Applicants will be interviewed remotely!
• In accordance with the Article 492, Paragraph 4 of the Law of Georgia on Higher Education, students retain active enrolment at their home universities while on a study abroad. Therefore, successful completion of the administrative registration at TSU in the beginning of each semester spent abroad is absolutely mandatory! Noncompliance to this rule will result in the suspension of the mobility.
