Visit of Professors David Pataraia and Irine Kurdadze to the University of Graz
On November 27–28, 2024, Professors Davit Pataraia and Irine Kurdadze were invited to participate in a discussion and an editorial board meeting at the Faculty of Law of the University of Graz for Central and Eastern European Legal Studies (Austria).
Close cooperation has been established with this university. The academic staff of the University of Graz visited Georgia in July and September 2024.
Professor Davit Pataraia and Professor Irine Kurdadze took part in the editorial board meeting, where they discussed the possibility of creating a joint scientific publication between the universities. A meeting was also held with the Dean of the Faculty of Law, during which the potential for a joint ERASMUS+ mobility application was discussed.
Additionally, a round table public lecture/discussion was held on the topic “Legal Approximation and Minority Rights,” during which Prof. Pataraia and Prof. Kurdadze delivered presentations. The event was attended by both university faculty and students. The University of Graz was represented by Professors Benedikt Harzl, Jürgen Pirker, Emma Lantschner, and Joseph Marko.
The visit was a success, and its outcomes contributed to strengthening the collaboration between TSU and the University of Graz.
