Professor Davit Pataraia’s visit to the University of Groningen

Professor Davit Pataraia conducted an academic visit to the Netherlands, where he was hosted as a guest professor by the University of Groningen. During his stay, he participated in a scholarly discussion organized by the Faculty of Law as part of the TaLkS meeting series. Within this framework, Professor Pataraia delivered a presentation addressing the contemporary challenges to the mission of international law, contributing to an in-depth academic exchange with the university’s legal scholars.

As well with the academic colloquium, Professor Pataraia also delivered a series of lectures and conducted a masterclass for Master level students of Law faculty. These sessions explored key topics such as the functions of the United Nations Security Council, the application of Article 39 of the UN Charter, the doctrine of peace, and the interrelationship between peace and human rights law.
