Research Management at Ivane Javakhishvili Tbilisi State University (TSU) is coordinated by the Department of Scientific Research and Development (DSRD). The Department supports faculties and research institutes in securing external funding, while fostering a dynamic, high-quality, and internationally competitive research environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Promote high-impact, internationally competitive, and interdisciplinary research
• Develop and implement strategies for the sustainable growth of the research and innovation ecosystem
• Strengthen human capital development and research infrastructure
• Foster the integration of research, education, and innovation
• Provide end-to-end support in research grant lifecycle management, including:
  • proposal development and compliance review
  • submission authorization
  • contract negotiation and award administration
• Monitor and analyze research performance using data-driven approaches
• Develop research-related policies and provide strategic advice to senior management
• Organize and support seminars, workshops, and international research events
• Support research collaboration and partnerships at national and international levels
• Provide expert guidance on proposal development, funding opportunities, and project implementation
