Collaboration with the Times Higher Education (THE)

As a result of long-term communication of the Quality Assurance Service with the representatives of the Times Higher Education World Universities Rankings (THE) and the active support of the university administration, Tbilisi State University will benefit from certain THE services for one year (starting from 2020).

In particular, Tbilisi State University will gain access to the Times Higher Education database, which will allow the university to monitor its own progress in various directions and plan appropriate measures. In addition, for one year, representatives of the Times World University Rankings will help the university to run a global branding campaign, which will help the university to better position itself in the international higher education market, increase its global reputation and awareness.

It should also be noted that representatives of the Times World University Rankings will organize the training of the university staff (taking into account current events in the world, in the format of distant meetings).

During this year, Ivane Javakhishvili Tbilisi State University representatives received four trainings from Times Higher Education. Based on the data from THE data points, a report was conducted, which will be used during strategic and management decisions.

The profile of Ivane Javakhishvili Tbilisi State University was updated on the official web-page of THE (see the link) and in the 2021 flipbook of THE World University Rankings the one-page Artwork about TSU was published (see the link).

An article about the latest discovery of TSU archaeologists on Grakliani Hill was published in THE Ranking magazine, 23 December, 2021 - 5 January, 2022, p.18 (see here). The article describes how the archaeological discovery of professors and students of Tbilisi State University changed the history of the past decades.
