Rector of Ivane Javakhishvili Tbilisi State University, Academician Jaba Samushia held an introductory meeting with Saranya Hasanthi Urugodawatte Dissanayake, Ambassador of the Democratic Socialist Republic of Sri Lanka to Turkey, Georgia and Ukraine.
Rector Samushia briefed the guest on the history of TSU, current educational programs and opportunities for collaboration with partner universities. He also spoke about the opportunities offered by Tbilisi State University to both Georgian and foreign students. The sides also discussed the development of educational relations between TSU and the Democratic Socialist Republic of Sri Lanka. The issues of joint scientific and research projects and future cooperation were also discussed.
