Jaba Samushia Participates in International Scientific Conference

The problems and challenges of the development of the world and national economy were discussed at the international scientific conference held at Tbilisi State University and dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the birth of Professor Giorgi Papava.

 

In his address to the participants of the conference, the Rector of TSU, Academician Jaba Samushia, focused on the merits of the great scientist, economist Giorgi Papava, whose name is associated with the formation of economic thought in Georgia.    

 

The participants of the conference discussed a wide range of issues such as the consequences of the pandemic on the world and national economy; the consequences of the Russia-Ukraine war on the world and national economy; macro and microeconomic problems of the world and national economy; monetary and financial problems; social, demographic, and environmental problems of the world and national economy.

 

The scientific conference was opened by Ramaz Abesadze, Director of the Paata Gugushvili Institute of Economics. The President of the Georgian National Academy of Sciences, Roin Metreveli, and the Director General of the Shota Rustaveli National Science Foundation of Georgia, Teimuraz Dochviri made their welcome speeches.
