The 18th International Symposium “Contemporary Issues in Literary Studies” opened at Ivane Javakhishvili Tbilisi State University and is dedicated to the 90th anniversary of TSU Shota Rustaveli Institute of Georgian Literature.
The symposium “The Theme of War and Peace in Contemporary World Literature and Culture” brings together approximately 40 foreign and Georgian researchers from around the world, including Japan, France, Great Britain, Slovenia, Serbia, Lithuania, Ukraine, Bulgaria, Turkey, and Armenia.
Attendees will discuss narratives of war and peace in contemporary literature, the depiction of regional and ethnic conflicts, and the representation of these themes in visual art and digital media.
As part of the event, a photo exhibition and a presentation of the anniversary publication “Georgian Literature Institute in Stories and Photos” were held at the TSU Museum.
Events dedicated to the 90th anniversary of Shota Rustaveli Institute of Georgian Literature will continue until the end of the year.
