7th International Caucasian Symposium on Polymers and Advanced Materials

The 7th International Caucasian Symposium on Polymers and Advanced Materials was held in Tbilisi on July 27-30. The symposium was organized by Ivane Javakhishvili Tbilisi State University (TSU) and American Chemical Society (ACS) Chapter in Georgia. The event was held in a hybrid format and representatives of Armenia, Azerbaijan, Ukraine, Poland, India, Russia, the United States, Turkey and other countries participated in it. 112 theses of the symposium were printed. About 30 oral presentations were made both directly and via Zoom. The conference materials will be published as a book by Apple Academic Press in Canada.

The ACS Chapter in Georgia introduced a prize at USD 150 for young scientists making oral presentations. Awards will be conferred to Doctors of Chemistry, Temur Kantaria and Tengiz Kantaria from Agrarian University, who are presently undergoing an internship at the University of Münster (Germany).

The special commission (Chair Prof. Jozef Haponiuk) awarded certificates to D. Gablaia, a third-year student of San Diego University Georgia; N. Dumbadze, a MA student of Agrarian University; N Kvinikadze, a MA student of Tbilisi State University and T. Dundua, a MA student of Georgian Technical University.
