The 11th International Staff Week

From October 27 to 31, 2025, the Department of Foreign Relations of Ivane Javakhishvili Tbilisi State University (TSU) hosted the 11th International Staff Week.

The event brought together 11 representatives from 12 higher education institutions across seven European countries - Bulgaria, Germany, Italy, Portugal, Romania, Slovenia, and Hungary.

The International Staff Week has become a well-established platform for enhancing inter-university cooperation and strengthening the processes of internationalization. Throughout the meetings and working sessions, participants exchanged experiences and best practices in the areas of university internationalization management, innovative approaches in higher education, and the development of sustainable partnerships.

The main goal of the week was to foster the exchange of innovative ideas, discuss effective internationalization strategies, and promote sustainable institutional models that contribute to strengthening TSU’s partnerships and creating new opportunities for international collaboration.

The program included a variety of thematic sessions, discussions, and both group and individual meetings, where participants explored effective mechanisms for cooperation within the Erasmus+ Programme and other international initiatives. They also shared perspectives on staff development, student mobility, and the internationalization of university administrative processes.

The International Staff Week also featured a cultural component, offering guests the opportunity to learn more about TSU, Georgia’s education system, and the country’s rich cultural and historical heritage.

TSU remains actively engaged in advancing international cooperation and deepening its internationalization processes, with the goal of further developing the university’s educational and research potential, increasing its global visibility, and strengthening its position within the international academic community.
