Ivane Javakhishvili Tbilisi State University Student Choir was established in 2015. Its repertoire is diverse and includes samples of Georgian, European, Afro-American and contemporary choral music.

Since its establishment, the choir has been participating in international festivals and national competitions every year:

In 2015-2019, the chapel won the gold medal four times in succession and the title of Laureate at the “Georgian National Competitions for Children and Youth Choirs”, winning nominations: “Best Performance in A Cappella (twice), "Best Performance of a Georgian Composer’s Composition", "Jury’s Sympathy", and Lasha Mirotadze, the founder and conductor of the chapel, was named the Best Conductor in the competition in 2018 and 2019.

In 2017, the choir took the first place in the International Music Competition "Fiestalonia-Georgia".

In the same year, it took part in the Uzeir Hajibeyel International Music Festival in Baku, and in 2018 and 2019 - in the Tbilisi International Choral Music Festival.

In September 2019, the student choir participated in the 8th International Choral Music Competition "Music and the Sea" in Greece, where it showed a great performance to the audience and the jury, and the choir won the Grand Prix.

TSU Student Choir is actively involved in the musical life of the university and the city.
