The TSU futsal team was established in 2007 and it is successfully competing in Georgia and abroad. The futsal team is participating in the Georgian Futsal Championship tournament, where in 2011-2012, it took the 1st place and won Georgian Cup. TSU futsal team is the winner of Bendela Cup. In 2012, TSU team took the 3rd place at the European Universiade held in the Spanish city of Córdoba. Futsal Student League was held from March 2 to April 22, 2013, where TSU team took the 1st place.

2014

2015

Beach soccer in Batumi, August 24-29, 1st place

Futsal Student League Cup, October 19 – December 18, 1st place

During Futsal Student League in 2016, TSU student team took the 1st place; during Beach Soccer Championship in Batumi – 2nd place. 

TSU student futsal team, along with 24 best European teams, participated in European Universiade held in Zagreb, Croatia. TSU team took the 9th place.

During the National Futsal Championship of Georgia, TSU team took the 1st place.

During the European Futsal Champions League (UEFA), the team was listed among the best 32 teams.

At the initial stage, members of the team are selected according to their capabilities; any TSU student is eligible to undergo registration.

In 2017, the student team won the University League and received the right to compete at the European Universiade.

The European Universities Futsal Championship was held in the Turkish city of Çorum. Alongside the Turkish, Russian, Portuguese and other teams, the TSU team naturally was not considered a favorite team. However, it managed to win the 1st place and move through quarter-final and semi-final stages.

In the final, TSU competed with the Porto University, mainly containing of Portuguese youth team players. The game was extremely tense and ended with the victory of Western European players (4-3). Our students won silver medals showing the best result among Georgian teams. Nikoloz Kurtanidze, student of the TSU Faculty of Economics and Business, was named as the best player of the championship and a special prize was awarded to him.
