A new rule for funding student projects was introduced at Ivane Javakhishvili Tbilisi State University in 2017. 

 

The Student Project Funding Council convenes three times annually to deliberate about financial support for the scientific, cultural, sporting and educational projects that have been submitted for consideration. Projects submitted by February 10 of the current calendar year will be reviewed no later than February 25; those submitted by April 15 will be reviewed no later than May 1; and those submitted by October 10 will be reviewed no later than October 25.

 

The Student Project Funding Council is composed of the following individuals: 

Giorgi Grigolashvili - Head of the Student Service and Career Development Center - Chairman of the Council;
Giorgi Shamatava - Deputy Head of Administration - Council Member;
Kakhaber Cheishvili - Deputy Rector of TSU - Council Member;
Giorgi Burjanadze - Assistant Professor at the Faculty of Exact and Natural Sciences - Council Member;
Elene Gelashvili - Head of the Learning Process Management Service at the Faculty of Social and Political Sciences – Council Member;
Akaki Mikaberidze - Manager of the Faculty of Economics and Business – Council Member;
Giorgi Okitashvili - Head of the Secretariat of the Representative Council - Secretary of the Council;
Tsira Topuria - Head of the Department of Culture and Sports - Council Member.
