The Rector of Tbilisi State University, Academician Jaba Samushia opened an international scientific conference entitled “Challenges of Globalization in Economics and Business.” The conference featured presentations by professors and researchers from higher education institutions and research institutes in Georgia and abroad, as well as field experts, who shared insights on the current challenges facing economics and business, drawing upon international experiences.
Rector Jaba Samushia discussed the challenges faced by states, including Georgia, in the context of globalization. “Today, as never, the topic of this international conference is of paramount importance for both Georgia and the wider region. It would be prudent to commence analysis of globalization from an economic perspective. In the process of European integration, it is imperative to anticipate and address potential challenges proactively. You create an economic opinion in our country and in the world. To this end, it is essential to listen to the reports of both Georgian and foreign specialists who will share their experience with us,” said Jaba Samushia.
Giorgi Gaganidze, Dean of the Faculty of Economics and Business at Tbilisi State University, stated that about 100 Georgian and foreign professors and researchers participated in the conference, where they presented over 50 research papers. “In this challenging and turbulent economic environment, we are trying to identify new ways and approaches to facilitate the development of our country and provide the necessary stimulus for its sustained economic growth,” he said.
The 9th International Scientific Conference entitled “Challenges of Globalization in Economics and Business” was organized by the Faculty of Economics and Business of Tbilisi State University.
