Jaba Samushia Participates in Polish-Georgian Colloquium

 

The Rector of Ivane Javakhishvili Tbilisi State University (TSU), Jaba Samushia participated in the Polish-Georgian Colloquium “Constitutionalism in Poland and Georgia” held at the Pomeranian University in Słupsk (Poland).

 

“Georgian-Polish relations have a centuries-old history. We have fought together to make our countries independent and democratic; we have built and are building a legal state. Georgia always feels and appreciates Poland’s support on its EU integration path, and it is important to further deepen these relations,” said Rector Jaba Samushia.

TSU and Polish professors participating in the event discussed a wide range of issues, including the system of state governing bodies during the Russian occupation, local government during the same period, the traditional class system during the First Republic of Georgia, Polish law of the Soviet period, the revision of the Polish Constitution of March 1921, etc.
