Jaba Samushia Participates in APAIE 2025 Exhibition

Jaba Samushia, the Rector of Ivane Javakhishvili Tbilisi State University Rector, is participating in the 2025 annual exhibition of the Asia-Pacific Association for International Education (APAIE) in India. This is the first time that TSU is presenting its international educational capabilities at this forum.

“More than a thousand universities are represented at the exhibition, and naturally, Georgian universities have the opportunity to establish international cooperation with them. This promotes both the exchange of students and the attraction of foreign students to Georgia. Tbilisi State University has a wide international network of partner universities. We hope that new connections will be established, and that this exhibition will further increase the number of foreign students interested in studying at TSU. In addition, our students will have the opportunity to study at new partner universities under various programs,” Jaba Samushia said.

TSU’s participation in APAIE 2025 underscores the university’s internationalization strategy and its goal of fostering collaboration with new regions. The event will include working meetings with European, Asian, and American partners, which will facilitate the expansion of exchange programs, joint research, and educational projects for students and researchers.

At the TSU exhibition stand, visitors have the opportunity to explore the university’s first and second buildings through the use of virtual reality (VR) technology. Visitors will be provided with information about the history of the university’s founding, educational programs, and international opportunities. The interactive experience is designed to facilitate visitors’ familiarization with TSU’s long-standing traditions and its contemporary academic environment.

Tbilisi State University (TSU) has been actively engaged in the development of international partnerships, thereby creating opportunities for both local and foreign students to receive a global education. Participation in APAIE 2025 signifies a pivotal step in TSU’s endeavor to integrate into the global educational landscape.

APAIE is a prominent international education platform, which unites the world’s leading universities, research institutes, and organizations.
