Erekle Astakhishvili, the Deputy Rector of Ivane Javakhishvili Tbilisi State University (TSU), hosted a meeting dedicated to two important projects funded under the Horizon Europe Programme: FORGE-AI and WARIE.
Tinatin Davitashvili, an associate professor at the Faculty of Exact and Natural Sciences at TSU, who received an Award of Recognition for her outstanding contribution to TSU’s success within the Horizon Europe Programme, is actively participating in the implementation of these projects.
TSU participates in these projects as a significant research and educational partner. The university is represented by the Faculty of Exact and Natural Sciences, the Department of Scientific Research and Development, and the Central Quality Assurance Service in the project implementation, which ensures the coordination of project activities across the university.
The FORGE-AI project (Fostering Innovation Culture for a New Generation of Georgian AI Research Community) aims to strengthen artificial intelligence research in Georgia, develop young researchers and expand international cooperation.
The WARIE project (Widening AI Research and Innovation for Excellence in the Eastern Partnership) aims to strengthen artificial intelligence research and innovation in the Eastern Partnership countries.
TSU is actively involved in both projects, playing an important role in research and education by participating in joint research, facilitating knowledge transfer, and introducing best practices with European partners.
