In honor of the 150th anniversary of Ivane Javakhishvili’s birth, the Library of Tbilisi State University has started a series of meetings between children’s authors and schoolchildren. On March 30, the TSU Library invited Maia Karseli, a children’s author, to meet with fourth-grade pupils from Public School No. 137. Karseli introduced the schoolchildren to her work and read her poems, stories, and funny riddles. She also talked about the love of books.
As part of the program, the schoolchildren will have the opportunity to tour the university library and familiarize themselves with its unique collections.
