Tbilisi State University (TSU) Chancellor Lasha Saghinadze paid a working visit to the University of Siena (Italy), one of the oldest universities in Italy and Europe. While there, he met with Rector Roberto Di Pietra.
During the visit, Saghinadze met with the Head of the International Relations Service, the Vice-Director of the Faculty of International and Political Sciences, the leadership of the Center for Interdisciplinary Innovations, and representatives of the library and museum.
The meeting focused on issues such as launching student and academic mobility between TSU and the University of Siena and creating double degree English-language academic programs.
Both parties confirmed their commitment to strengthening their partnership and agreed to a return visit by a delegation from the University of Siena to TSU. A memorandum of understanding will be signed between the universities in the near future.
The visit was funded by the European Commission's Erasmus+ international credit mobility program.
