TSU Rector, Academician Jaba Samushia, along with representatives of the TSU administration and academic staff, visited the Ivane Javakhishvili House-Museum in Khovle. During the visit, they viewed the ongoing rehabilitation work at the museum with Kaspi Mayor Vakhtang Maisuradze.
“With the involvement of the Ministry of Culture and Minister Tika Rukhadze, an important project has been launched to completely rehabilitate the Ivane Javakhishvili House-Museum. Such cultural monuments are of special importance for the regions. Ivane Javakhishvili loved Khovle and many of his important works were created here. Naturally, this place should fulfill the function of an educational institution,” noted Jaba Samushia.
The Ivane Javakhishvili House-Museum rehabilitation project began in 2025 and is being implemented by the National Agency for Cultural Heritage Preservation of Georgia with the support of the Ministry of Culture. The rehabilitation works will be completed by 2027.
