Erekle Astakhishvili, the Deputy Rector of Tbilisi State University, participated in the annual conference of the European University Association (EUA), which was held at the University of Latvia in Riga.
During the conference, EUA member university leaders and experts from various European countries discussed the issues of supporting higher education institutions in achieving the Sustainable Development Goals and developing strategies for effective crisis management.
The participants also discussed the potential for reform of the EUA’s strategic plan, opportunities for academic development, the digital transformation of universities, and sustainable funding models.
The conference is a significant platform for fostering collaboration among European universities, thereby promoting the integration of EUA member universities into the global education space.
