Visit to TSU Vocational Education Center in Kutaisi

TSU Rector, Academician Jaba Samushia, along with Deputy Minister of Education, Science and Youth of Georgia Zviad Gabisonia and TSU Deputy Rector Kakhaber Cheishvili, visited the TSU Vocational Education Center in Kutaisi.

The guests toured the center's infrastructure, observed the teaching and professional training processes, and discussed the center’s further development prospects.

Rector Jaba Samushia emphasized the role of the Kutaisi Vocational Education Center in strengthening regional development and employment opportunities, noting that TSU places special importance on making vocational education available in the region. “The Kutaisi Vocational Education Center is an important step in ensuring that young people receive a high-quality education in their own city. We are trying to create a modern environment that will help local youth gain knowledge, skills, and professional experience,” said the Rector.

“Vocational education is one of the most important areas for the development of the country today. It is precisely such centers that create a strong foundation for the country's economic progress and the well-being of its citizens,” said Georgia’s Deputy Minister of Education, Science and Youth.

Tbilisi State University has accepted its 19th cohort of students into 18 educational and vocational programs in Kutaisi and Tbilisi this year. In addition to its academic programs, the region’s leading university has successfully implemented vocational education programs since 2007. These programs allow people of all ages to learn a new profession and develop their careers.
