On the initiative of the Rector of Ivane Javakhishvili Tbilisi State University, Academician Jaba Samushia, the “Students for Students” employment program will be launched in the near future, which provides for the enrichment of the audio fund of the University Library by TSU students.
The audio studio of the University Library was created with the support of the U.S. Embassy, and is intended for the recording of textbooks and novels for disabled people with special educational needs, especially for visually impaired students, as well as to facilitate their adaptation to society.
At the same time, the student employment program will contribute to the increase of the existing audio fund, which will make the educational process easier and more effective for visually impaired students of different faculties or departments of the university.
The employees of the TSU library will be provided with audio computer equipment. In the first stage, the competition will be announced on the website of Tbilisi State University. Candidates will be interviewed and their abilities to create audio books will be checked. The selection will be made on the basis of listening to audio recordings. The work of the students will be paid and will last for three months.
