Ivane Javakhishvili Tbilisi State University, with the financial support of the Kaspi Municipality City Hall and Georgian Post, will publish a book covering the epistolary legacy of Ivane Javakhishvili and his wife, Anastasia Jambakur-Orbeliani.
On May 27, a Memorandum of Cooperation was signed at Ivane Javakhishvili House-Museum in the village of Khovle (Kaspi Municipality). The Memorandum between Tbilisi State University and Kaspi Municipality, as well as between Tbilisi State University and Georgian Post was signed by Vice Rector of TSU, Nino Okribelashvili, Head of the TSU Administration, Lasha Saghinadze, Mayor of the Kaspi Municipality, Vakhtang Maisuradze and General Director of Georgian Post, Levan Chikvaidze.
The publication will have an academic nature, it will contain a search section and comments. Tarkhuj Javakhishvili, grandson of Ivane Javakhishvili, served as a consultant of the publication. The TSU Library had been working for months on the personal archives of Ivane Javakhishvili and his wife, Anastasia Jambakur-Orbeliani, stored at the National Center of Manuscripts.
