The first official 48-hour Game Jam Hackathon took place at Tbilisi State University. The organizers were TSU graduates and founders of the YouTube channel Devterapy, Giorgi Abelashvili and Irakli Koiava, as well as the Department of Computer Science of the Faculty of Exact and Natural Sciences.
The show, created by the graduates of the Computer Science Department of the Faculty of Exact and Natural Sciences at TSU, is available in Georgian on the YouTube channel and is entirely about technologies, software engineering, and developer culture.
About 100 students participated in the hackathon, which the organizers plan to hold annually. The event included presentations by successful graduates. They spoke to the audience about their career experiences.
Giorgi Abelashvili, a senior game developer, DEKA Games Berlin, who has worked on games such as Tomb Raider, Hitman, and Deus EX (previously worked at Ubisoft on Watch Dogs Legion).
Irakli Koiava is a graphics software engineer, who currently works at the French company Dassault Systems on issues associated with internal graphics engineering.
Avtandil Ushikishvili is a senior software engineer and currently works at the American company Bondex, where he leads the internal systems implementation and development team.
