TSU Students to Participate in UT Dallas Program

Six students from Ivane Javakhishvili Tbilisi State University (TSU) will take part in an eight-week program run in partnership with the University of Texas at Dallas (UT Dallas).

Funded by the U.S. Department of State and the U.S. Embassy in Georgia, the project provides doctoral students and young scientists with the opportunity to develop their research and academic skills.

Those in attendance at the meeting included Jaba Samushia, Rector of TSU; Harvey Sernovitz, Public Diplomacy Officer, and Sophie Bzishvili, Education Programs Coordinator from the U.S. Embassy in Georgia, as well as the students participating in the program. The American coordinators delivered their presentation online.

Three TSU faculties are involved in the project: the Faculty of Exact and Natural Sciences, the Faculty of Economics and Business, and, for the first time this year, the Faculty of Psychology and Educational Sciences.

To date, 12 TSU students have gained valuable experience through this program.
