Department of Pediatrics

Since 1996,  the day of restoration of the Faculty of Medicine at TSU, the Research Institute of Pediatrics has become a part of the сlinical base array, representing the clinical base of the Department of Surgery at the same time.

Since 2002, the Department has been headed by Professor Rusudan Karseladze. The personnel of the Department are extensively involved in scientific and international clinical research projects (There  have been carried out 5 multicenter clinical trials over the past 5 years). The results of the research carried out at the Department are reported at many European and world conferences and congresses.

The Department of Pediatrics has organized numerous international conferences and congresses. The conference dedicated to the TSU anniversary with the participation of leading international pediatricians of the world deserves special attention.
