Sopio Kvashilava

"The university has always been — and will continue to be — one of the best sources of education in our country. Firstly, the academic environment and inspiring lecturers gave me some of the most enjoyable months of my life, expanded and structured my knowledge, and gave me more opportunities to apply that knowledge in practice," says Sopio Kvashilava, a 2021 graduate of the vocational education program "Event Management."

Despite having a large family, Sopio is constantly seeking new knowledge and experiences at every stage of her life. Her family, a husband, 11 children, and 2 grandchildren are her main source of strength and support in everything she does, including her professional journey.

Her most recent work experience is also connected to large families.

"Despite the size of my family, I’m actively involved in the organization 'Geni Kartuli' - an association of mothers with many children. Its mission is to promote healthy family values and present large families in a positive light." Sopio shares.

For her, learning has always been a continuous process. So, when she decided to enroll in the TSU Vocational Education Center, her family was not surprised at all. What encouraged her decision even more was the hybrid learning model introduced during the pandemic. That’s when, in 2021, she decided to study event management - a field that brought new color and diversity to her work within the association of mothers with many children.

"As for applying knowledge, everything I learned gradually became part of my daily life and work without me even noticing," Sopio says. "Before starting any new project, I now try to identify my main goal, figure out how to use fewer resources, and how to achieve results faster." For Sopio Kvashilava, the 10 months spent studying in the vocational education program turned out to be truly productive and transformative.
