A training session on Basic Life Support (BLS) Methods was organized by the TSU Center of Vocational Education for the Center’s staff and students. The training was led by Nona Goshadze, Head of Nursing Development at Geo Hospitals and Programme Coordinator of TSU’s “Nursing Education” vocational programme.
The training aimed to teach non-medical personnel how to provide first aid quickly and correctly according to modern standards, as well as to develop practical first aid skills.
Representatives of the TSU Center of Vocational Education’s administration, programme coordinators, instructors and students learned about primary emergency care, including identifying and responding to trauma, bleeding, intoxication, fainting, and choking, as well as performing cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) for adults and children.
The session was conducted using multifunctional mannequins and simulators, allowing participants to gain hands-on practical experience.
