The TSU vocational students’ project, “Learning, Experience and Friendship in One Place,” which included educational, cultural and exploratory activities in Kakheti, was successfully implemented.

As part of the project, the students visited the Money Museum of the National Bank of Georgia and the Kote Marjanishvili House Museum in Kvareli, where they learned about the history of currency and explored exhibitions showcasing the life and work of the distinguished Georgian theatre director.

During their visit to Kakheti, the students also explored important cultural heritage sites. They visited Gurjaani Kvelatsminda (Church of the Dormition of the Mother of God), one of the most significant monuments of Georgian architecture dating from the 8th-9th centuries and the only known two-domed church in the Orthodox Christian world. They also visited the Nekresi Monastery Complex, an important monument of early and medieval Georgian ecclesiastical architecture.

The student project was selected through a competitive process and funded by the TSU Vocational Education Centre. The project was developed by students of the vocational programmes Event Management (Tbilisi) and Financial Services (Tbilisi): Tekla Daushvili, Tamar Nizharadze, Giorgi Togoevi, Ana Abramishvili and Mariam Zedelashvili.

The students were accompanied on their visit to Kakheti by Levan Tsikaridze, Head of the TSU Vocational Education Centre, who also left a commemorative message in the guestbook of the Money Museum of the National Bank of Georgia.

According to Nana Mamagulishvili, Head of the Event Management vocational programme (Tbilisi), the students jointly developed a comprehensive logistical plan and itinerary for the excursion, coordinated their activities with the museums and effectively handled organisational matters. This provided them with valuable hands-on experience.
