The student project “AML/KYC Simulation Training: Practical Training in Digital Financial Security for Vocational Students,” implemented by students of TSU’s vocational programme “Financial Services” (Kutaisi), provided an excellent opportunity for students to gain new knowledge about the financial sector and engage in practice-based learning.

As part of the project, vocational students learned about one of the most important areas of today’s global financial sector - AML/KYC (prevention of money laundering and terrorist financing, customer identification and risk-based approaches) - in conditions designed to closely simulate a real professional environment.

According to Khatuna Tkeshelashvili, Head of the Vocational Programme “Financial Services” (Kutaisi), combining theoretical knowledge with practical simulations, case studies and the experience of industry professionals once again demonstrated that one of the key strengths of vocational education is its focus on practice-based learning.

She noted that the student project, funded by the TSU Vocational Education Centre, was also supported by Credo Bank. “It was through cooperation with the bank that the students were able to participate in practical, experience-based training and develop professional skills in a real working environment. I would like to thank the students who initiated and led the project for their interest and commitment to this initiative. I believe that similar practical projects will continue to contribute to the development of modern vocational education, enhance students’ competitiveness and support the preparation of qualified and responsible professionals for the financial sector,” Khatuna Tkeshelashvili said.

The project was submitted to the competition by students of the vocational programme “Financial Services”: Shota Giorkhelidze, Giorgi Tkemaladze, Gvantsa Tskhadadze, Mariam Gabedava and Ketevan Saghinadze.
