Soft Skills Courses for Vocational Teachers and Students

Soft skills courses were held for teachers and students of the Vocational Education Center at Tbilisi State University.

 

These courses were conducted within the framework of the Erasmus+ co-funded institutional capacity-building project “DeSIRe – Development of Soft Skills in Armenian and Georgian Universities for the Needs of the 21st Century Labour Market.” The courses were led by the implementing staff of the same project.

 

The local coordinator of the project is TSU Associate Professor Irma Grdzelidze, a member of the EUA-CDE Council for Doctoral Education and Chair of the Erasmus+ Higher Education Reform Experts Group in Georgia.

 

The soft skills courses focused on issues important for effectively managing the educational process and supporting career development, both for vocational teachers and for students. The course topics included:

 

 ♦Equality, Diversity, and Inclusion

♦ Essential Entrepreneurial Skills: Initiative and Proactivity

♦ Effective Business Communication and Negotiation Skills
♦ Creating and Developing Organizational Culture
