Career management course for students and graduates of TSU

Career management course is designed for every student and graduate who is interested in the following topics:

 

  •  According to your abilities, which of the modern career concepts will help you succeed in
  • your career?
  •  How to plan your career considering current labour market changes?
  •  Which are the factors to take into account when searching for jobs?
  •  What are the major trends of modern labour market?
  •  How to balance your personal life and career?
  •  What to consider when planning successful career?
  •  How to prepare a CV where you can briefly but fully demonstrate your skills and abilities?
  •  How to prepare for a job interview?
  •  

Career management course is developed within a European Commission’s tempus IV project (TEMPUS Grant (Developing Student Career Services in Georgia - 530566- TEMPUS -1-2012-1-LT-TEMPUS-SMGR (2012-3045/001-0010) programme
“Developing Student Career Services in Georgia” and based on theoretical material prepared as a result of cooperation between European universities and their partner universities in Georgia.


The course is implemented by TSU Student Service and Career Development Centre.


Career management course will be led by selected mentors who have undergone special training,


It is to mention that the participants of the said course will later be selected as mentors to share their experience with the students.


Format:


The trainings will be held remotely using the zoom and moodle platform with synchronous and asynchronous elements, as well as in person in the auditorium. 3 Modules. 6 topics. Individual and group assignments.


Duration:


1 – 22 May (3 weeks, 4 hours per week) each module lasts for 4 hours (the total duration of the course – 12 hours).


Content of the course:


Module I
1. Career concept – modern vs traditional
2. Modern approaches to career development

 

Module II
3. Self-awareness
4. Career planning, management and development


Module III
5. Labour market research. The process of job search
6. CV, motivation letter, preparation for a job interview

After completing each module, course participants must complete an assignment. After the completion of the course, if necessary, a notice will be issued about the completion of the course.
