Jaba Samushia Meets with Students from Translation Faculty at Uzbekistan State World Languages University

Tbilisi State University Rector, Academician Jaba Samushia met with students from the Translation Faculty of the Uzbekistan State World Languages University and presented them with certificates.

The students studied the Georgian language and culture at TSU for three weeks as part of an intensive hybrid course. The course included both practical language classes as well as lectures on historical and cultural perspectives of the Silk Road, tourism, and modern Georgian reality.

The educational process was accompanied by cultural activities, such as visiting Mtskheta, Gori, Ateni Sioni and Uplistsikhe, as well as an unforgettable tour of Kakheti. The students noted that they had fallen in love with Tbilisi in this short time and planned to return to Georgia in the future.

As part of the partnership, the Uzbekistan State World Languages University intends to establish a Georgian Language and Culture Department in Tashkent and offers TSU access to its resources to promote Uzbek language and culture.
