The Rector of Tbilisi State University, Academician Jaba Samushia, held a working meeting with the Rector of the University of Naples Federico II, Professor Matteo Lorito, and other members of the University delegation.
The University of Naples Federico II is one of the oldest universities in the world. Rector Jaba Samushia stated that TSU has been cooperating with the University of Naples for years and has been carrying out student mobility within the framework of the Erasmus program. “We have established connections with both Naples and other Italian universities, yet it is crucial to enhance and elevate this collaboration,” he said.
Professor Matteo Lorito, the Rector of the University of Naples Federico II, said that the university is celebrating its 800th anniversary this year. He further committed to deepening the collaboration between the two universities and to updating the existing memorandum.
The delegation from the University of Naples Federico II is visiting Georgia with the support of the Embassy of Italy and the Italian Language and Culture Center “Minerva.” It was agreed at the meeting that Rector Samushia will visit the University of Naples Federico II and sign a new cooperation agreement.
