Tornike Sologashvili, a successful graduate of TSU’s Faculty of Medicine, visited Ivane Javakhishvili Tbilisi State University. He graduated from TSU in 2006 and is now a renowned pediatric cardiac surgeon and the head of the Pediatric Cardiac Surgery Unit at the Geneva University Hospital (HUG).
Sologashvili was hosted by TSU Rector, Academician Jaba Samushia, Dean of the Faculty of Medicine Maia Bitskinashvili, and other faculty members.
During his meeting with Rector Samushia, Prof. Sologashvili discussed the role of the TSU Faculty of Medicine in his professional development. He expressed special gratitude to Professor Nodar Khodeli, who supported his involvement in experiments at the Institute of Morphology during his early years as a student. Sologashvili noted that such an opportunity is often not provided even by leading European medical schools.
The meeting addressed future cooperation, including student assistance and consultation.
