Jaba Samushia Awards University Medals to Dedicated Employees

 

The Rector of Tbilisi State University (TSU), Academician Jaba Samushia, together with the Head of Administration Lasha Saghinadze, awarded medals to the dedicated employees of the University, presented certificates of appreciation and memorable gifts.

 

Under the TSU program, the administrative and support staff of the University who have reached the retirement age provided by the legislation of Georgia and who have decided to leave the University voluntarily, received monetary compensation from the University in the form of a reward.

 

Rector Jaba Samushia expressed gratitude to the employees who contributed to the development of the university and the establishment of its new history through their dedicated years of service. “It is our intention to offer our dedicated employees a reward. They will continue to be members of the larger family called Tbilisi State University. Serving as a university representative entails both responsibilities and privileges that are inherent to the role and cannot be revoked. I express my sincerest respect to each of you. You are the creators of the beautiful environment where the students are pleased to study, and for that we express our sincerest gratitude,” said Jaba Samushia.

 

“Your advice is important to us. We extend our sincerest gratitude to you for your dedicated service to the University and for your contributions to the education of so many young minds. This recognition, bestowed by the University, is but a modest gesture to acknowledge your exceptional contributions,” TSU Chancellor Lasha Saghinadze stated.

 

The program offers monetary compensation to university personnel who have reached retirement age and have accumulated 5 to 10 years of experience in administrative and support positions at the university as of August 1, 2024. The compensation amount is equivalent to 5 months' salary. Those personnel who had accumulated more than 10 years of work experience by August 1, 2024, received monetary compensation amounting to 7 months' salary; and those personnel who had accumulated more than 20 years of service by August 1, 2024, received monetary compensation amounting to 8 months' salary.
