The Rector of Tbilisi State University, Academician Jaba Samushia has signed a Memorandum of Cooperation with Sangji University (South Korea), which will facilitate the implementation of joint scientific projects and research cooperation in the field of medicine.
Speaking at the meeting with South Korean scientists, Rector Jaba Samushia stated that the TSU Institute of Morphology has already established a collaborative relationship with Sangji University. He further stated that the signing of the memorandum will facilitate a new phase of this partnership. “It is of great importance for us to further enhance our collaboration with your university in the field of medicine, given your profound expertise in this domain,” stated Jaba Samushia.
The memorandum outlines a plan for joint research into the Primo Vascular System, joint educational programs, student mobility, and other joint research projects conducted by scientists from Tbilisi State University and Sangji University.
Professor Sang-Suk Lee of Sangji University said that it is important to expand cooperation with Tbilisi State University, to conduct joint research and implement joint programs for students at various academic levels, as well as for researchers from both institutions.
Dimitri Kordzaia, Director of TSU Alexander Natishvili Institute of Morphology, said that collaboration with Sangji University will mark the inception of Primo Vascular System research and instruction in Georgia, which will be conducted at the TSU Faculty of Medicine and the TSU Institute of Morphology.
During their visit, Korean scientists will participate in an event commemorating the 110th anniversary of the birth of the distinguished Georgian scientist and public figure, Academician Nino Javakhishvili. As part of the event, they will present a public lecture on a new, yet little-known system, the Primo Vascular System, to the wider medical community.
