Jaba Samushia Participates in International Conference “Education and Science in the Era of Artificial Intelligence”

 

TSU Rector, Academician Jaba Samushia participated in the international conference “Education and Science in the Era of Artificial Intelligence.” The event aimed to discuss the impact of artificial intelligence (AI) on education, scientific research, and institutional development.

During the conference, the Rector discussed the role of universities in the era of artificial intelligence and the opportunities that integrating AI in academia provides. Samushia focused on the AI strategy developed by Tbilisi State University, which will be made public in a few days. “Artificial intelligence is not just a technological challenge – it is an opportunity for universities to set new standards in education and research. This conference once again emphasizes the importance of AI in science and education, as well as the readiness of Georgian universities to engage in global processes,” noted Jaba Samushia.

The event brings together Georgian and foreign scientists and experts, as well as policymakers in education and science. The two-day conference is organized by the Georgian National Academy of Sciences, the Ministry of Education, Science and Youth of Georgia, and the Horizon Europe Georgia National Office.
