The Rector of Tbilisi State University, Academician Jaba Samushia welcomed the participants of the 35th International Hegel Congress. In his address, the Rector focused on the historical evolution of philosophical thought in Georgia.
Following the dissolution of the Soviet Union, this is the inaugural international congress to be held in the post-Soviet area at the Georgian Technical University. The Congress will address the concept of “The Idea of the Good and Ethical Life in Hegel’s Philosophy”. The Rector of Georgian Technical University, Academician Davit Gurgenidze addressed the audience.
From September 30 to October 4, 2024, for the first time in Georgia and the post-Soviet area, the Georgian Technical University will host the 35th International Hegel Congress. The Congress is held in different countries under the auspices of the International Hegel Society, which convenes every two years due to the continued relevance of Hegel’s philosophy and the historical context of its reception.
