TSU prepared the bilingual publication in partnership with the Tbilisi City Hall. Nino Suladzeof the Tbilisi City Hallsaid that the publication will be interesting to everyone interested in the history of Tbilisi and educational issues of that time. “The Tbilisi City Hall has been implementing the program “Creative Tbilisi” for several yearswith publishing activities being one of its main directions. The Tbilisi City Hall has financed several interesting publications depicting different stages of the capital’s development, history, and culture. This book is a product of that direction, which was supported by the Tbilisi City Hall with great pleasure,” Nino Suladze noted.

A separate chapter of the publication is dedicated to the official chronicles and journalistic materials of the years 1918-1921 in the educational direction. The book was prepared for publication by the staff of the TSU Library and Publishing House. “Very serious reforms were implemented in the first democratic republic in 1918-1921. Among them was the education reform, which made fundamental changes to the existing education system. We worked on this issue. The publication focuses on educational processes ongoing in Tbilisi,” ZurabGaiparashvili, head of the TSU Library, said.
