The Institute of Georgian History of the Faculty of Humanities at Ivane Javakhishvili Tbilisi State University organized the annual international scientific conference dedicated to the memory of Tedo Dundua (1961-2025).
TSU Rector, Academician Jaba Samushia, and Deputy Rector Erekle Astakhishvili welcomed the participants and spoke about Tedo Dundua.
Dundua was the head of the Institute of Georgian History at Tbilisi State University. He was a professor and a doctor of historical sciences who had been engaged in pedagogical and scientific activities at Tbilisi State University for four decades. He published hundreds of articles on the history of Georgia from different eras, Georgian numismatics, epigraphy, and the philosophy of history in various languages.
Additionally, Dundua edited the works of the TSU Institute of Georgian History.
