Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Italy, Massimiliano D'Antuono visited the Department of Italian Studies of the Institute of Western European Languages and Literature of the Faculty of Humanities of Tbilisi State University.
The meeting was attended by Erekle Astakhishvili, Deputy Rector of TSU, Professor Ornella Spano, Education Attaché of the Italian Embassy, who was sent by the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs to teach Italian at TSU for four years, Associate Professor Maia Javakhidze, Head of the Italian Department, Italian language teachers, students and graduates.
The Ambassador got acquainted with the history of the establishment of the Italian Department, the process of teaching Italian and spoke about further deepening and expansion of cooperation.
