TSU Initiates Funding for Scientific Research Grant Projects

TSU Initiates Funding for Scientific Research Grant Projects

To provide support for the activities of scientists and young researchers, Tbilisi State University has announced the implementation of a new initiative, whereby internal scientific research grant projects will be financed. This announcement was made by the Rector of TSU, Academician Jaba Samushia at a meeting with representatives of the university’s faculties. The project will be funded from the 2025 budget of TSU, with the necessary funds distributed to cover the costs associated with the scientific activities of all seven faculties.

The new project aims to encourage scientific research, generate new knowledge, expand existing projects and deepen international collaboration. It will facilitate the advancement of ongoing scientific research at TSU and enhance the participation of students and faculty in innovative projects.

With grant funding, Tbilisi State University will contribute to enhancing the motivation of the university’s scientists and academic staff, improving the quality of scientific research and establishing a competitive research environment that aligns with international standards.

The allocation of financial resources to support grant projects will prove invaluable for TSU students. Next year, undergraduate students will have the opportunity to participate in competitions and engage in scientific activities for the first time, alongside their master’s and doctoral counterparts. The project will provide students with supplementary resources, enabling them to enhance their research abilities and implement innovative projects.
