TSU Rector, Academician Jaba Samushia congratulated TSU Emeritus Professor, Academician Mzekala Shanidze on her 100th birthday. He wished her good health, longevity, vigor, and continued interesting scientific activities.
“A nation is happy to have a scientist of such caliber, a student is happy to have a teacher of such caliber, and a university is happy to have a professor of such caliber. Mzekala Shanidze’s greatest and most important scientific works are well-known. I will single out only one of them, which is related to the historian of David the Builder. It is an example of how a historical source should be published. She set a certain standard for us with her scientific work,” noted Rector Samushia.
Jaba Samushia awarded the University's Gold Medal to Academician Mzekala Shanidze in recognition of her long and fruitful pedagogical and scientific work at TSU, as well as her exceptional contributions to the development of the university and Georgian science
