Unified Search Program Planned for TSU Libraries

The collection of books stored at the TSU Library, National Science Library and the Ioseb Grishashvili Library-Museum is one of the largest in Georgia. On the initiative of the Rector of TSU, Jaba Samushia, a unified search program for the catalogs of TSU libraries will be developed and made available on the TSU website. The unified search program will facilitate the use of both TSU and international scientific electronic databases by users.

The unified search program will be based on the single-window principle, allowing users to search for the necessary document using various search parameters, including document name, author, barcode, and keyword.

This decision is driven by the necessity to align library services with the demands of modern scientific and educational practices, which will significantly improve the quality of library services. The unified resources will become more accessible to both students and researchers.

The new services and sharing of library resources will allow students and researchers to make better use of existing opportunities, which will promote their professional development.
