As part of his official visit to the Kingdom of Spain, Ivane Javakhishvili Tbilisi State University Rector, Academician Jaba Samushia, visited the University of the Basque Country (UPV/EHU), where he held working meetings with university leaders.
The TSU delegation was hosted by the Rector of the University of the Basque Country, Joxerramon Bengoetxea; the Vice-Rector for Internationalization and Knowledge Transfer, Professor Gotzone Barandika Argoitia, the Dean of the Faculty of Humanities, Belén Bengoetxea, and the Vice-Dean for Internationalization and Mobility, Denis Álvarez Pérez.
During the meeting, the parties introduced each other to the main areas of educational and scientific activity, strategic priorities of internationalization and experience in international cooperation of both universities. They paid special attention to the prospects of future institutional cooperation, including developing exchange programs for students and academic staff, launching joint research projects, and participating in international grant initiatives and other academic activities within the framework of the Erasmus+ international credit mobility program.
