An exhibition titled “History of Education in the Democratic Republic of Georgia” was held at Ivane Javakhishvili Tbilisi State University in celebration of Georgia’s Independence Day.
TSU Rector, Academician Jaba Samushia, Deputy Rector Kakhaber Cheishvili, Deputy Head of the Vocational Education Center Ineza Vatsadze, students and professors attended the event.
“This exhibition confirms the successful reforms implemented during the First Democratic Republic. This was a period when European values were introduced into the education system and the foundation was laid for modern educational processes,” noted TSU Rector, Academician Jaba Samushia.
The exhibition was organized in partnership with the TSU Vocational Education Center and the National Archives of Georgia. It presented materials on the reforms implemented in the Democratic Republic of Georgia, including the history of the university and the development of vocational education.
