The commission set up by the order of Acting Rector of TSU, Jaba Samushia on the construction of a new dormitory has issued a statement.
According to the statement, the commission inspected two facilities and selected one of them. There were several criteria based on which the facility was selected - proximity to educational buildings and safe environment suitable for student dormitories. After receiving the conclusion of Levan Samkharauli National Forensics Bureau, further steps will be taken on the ground.
The commission members noted that the new student dormitory will not be commercial.
After the new dormitory is built, next phases will be implemented as per the needs and possibilities.
The groups (commissions) for selecting the location of TSU dormitories and determining the amount of financial resources for their construction, operation and functioning were created at the initiative of Acting Rector Jaba Samushia on November 7. The groups are composed of students, academic and administrative personnel.
