Final presentation of the grant project "Development of the Concept of the Public Administration Law Master’s Program

A presentation showcasing the final outcomes was held on July 12, 2024, as an integral component of the grant project - "Development of the Concept of the Public Administration Law Master’s Program" facilitated by a consortium established in collaboration with Ivane Javakhishvili Tbilisi State University (TSU) and Batumi Shota Rustaveli State University (BSU).

 

The meeting was opened by the project director - Paata Turava, the head of the Higher Education Component at Competitive Innovation Fund - the dean of the TSU Faculty of Law - Tamar Zarandia, the dean of the BSU Faculty of Law - Levan Jackeli, the president of the Personal Data Protection Service - Lela Janashvili, the Chairman of the Supreme Council of Autonomous Republic of Adjara - Davit Gabaidze and the head of the Anti-Corruption Bureau - Razhden Kuprashvili.

 

The meeting was led by the TSU and BSU professors: Paata Turava, Nana Chighladze, Eka Kardava, Irakli Kakhidze, Levan Jakeli and Malkhaz Nakashidze. Representatives of the Parliament of Georgia, Ministry of Justice of Georgia, Finance and Economics Ministry of Adjara, Constitutional Court of Georgia, Competitive Innovative Fund (CIF), National Center for Educational Quality Enhancement, Civil Service Bureau, Personal Data Protection Service and Anti-Corruption Bureau also took part in the meeting.

 

During the event, the participants discussed the conceptual framework of the Public Administration Law Master's Program with the primary objective of enhancing the professional competence of civil service practitioners, particularly improving the theoretical and practical skills of employees. The meeting emphasized the practical educational requisites within the public sector, providing officials with practical proficiencies, and examining the existing professional development framework within the civil service.

 

A discussion was held with the representatives of public services and the academic institutions on the final research results of the Public Administration Law Master's Program, regulatory legal acts and dual teaching method, as well as future perspectives of cooperation with public services.
